The township is populated by around 11,500 people, some of whom live in the perfectly maintained half-timbered medieval cottages and homes lining the cobbled streets inside the ancient city’s walls. Among the town’s other attractions are beautifully preserved gatehouses, towers, and a covered walkway, all adding to the village’s fairy-tale atmosphere.

To get a deeper feel for lovely Rothenburg ob der Tauber, below is a visual tour via the photoscape and videos provided by Robbie.

As you take in the vistas, imagine yourself lazily wandering the pretty, curving cobbled streets while absorbing the quaint surroundings of the village or enjoying the bucolic countryside of fields of sunflowers on the outskirts of this enchanting spot in Northern Bavaria, Germany.

As if the scenic attractions and embedded history weren’t enough, the hamlet also offers the world’s largest selection of German Christmas decorations. All year round, these special decorations are sold from the Kathe Wohlfahrt Weihnachtsdorf in the town’s market square. The store is designed to look just like a Christmas village and enchantingly evokes yuletide nostalgia in every beautiful display.

A captivating shop like this would surely pique anyone’s curiosity, especially for those for whom Christmas plays an abiding, meaningful, and magical part in their lives.
